Category: Dry Red

Varietal composition: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot

Origin - Vineyard: Askos area, Thessaloniki region, Central Macedonia. 2ha of linear, privately owned vineyard situated at an altitude of 500-550m.

Harvest: Merlot: end of August, CS: first 10 days of September

Vinification: 15-day fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. 12-month aging in French and American oak and further aging in bottle for 6 months.

Wine description: A modern expression of the classical Bordeaux blend, the wine shows bold aromas, with hints of cherry, roasted nuts and tobacco. On the palate it is well-rounded, harmonious, and rich with a lingering finish. Medium-to-full-bodied, it has it all: balance, beautiful fruit and a lovely acidity.

Wine and food pairing: Served at 16-18°C it is a harmonious pair match with pork, juicy red meats, barbecued or spicy cooked, roasted lamb and red sauce meat casseroles.

Ageing potential: 5 – 8 years
